My New Poetry Collection, Deep Ends, in Advance Sales Until November 15.

Dear Friends,

New Poetry Collection on the Way

I'm letting you know first, because it's been a long time coming.  My second full-length poetry collection, Deep Ends, is up on Finishing Line Press ready for advance sales.  The actual book will most likely ship in early 2025 when I will begin scheduling some release events in earnest. When you pre-order Deep Ends during the 9-week advance sales period you are getting a price break plus ensuring that I have a successful press run.  Chris Arvidson's wonderful painting, “Dear Lake Michigan” adorns the cover.  In fact her wonderful new book, Nobody Cares What You Think, is also up on the site for pre-sale.  We think maybe we'll read together a few times next year.

You can pre-order at this link or go to FinishingLinePress.com and search for Deep Ends if you prefer.

Here's a look at the beautiful cover in the meantime.

Kentucky State Poetry Society Selects Winners

I was really excited to learn that my poem, “Cedar Triptych” won 2nd Place in the KSPS Chaffin/Kash Prize members' competition.  I'll get to read with the other prize winners at the KSPS's online conference on October 27.  Thanks so much to judge, Melissa Helton.

I hope to send a few updates on reading events this year as well as a few on music.

Best wishes for a cool and calm fall season.

Roberta
